Since its inception in 1988, the county’s Fraud Hotline has been one of the most powerful detection and prevention tools available to county management and has saved taxpayers about $16 million, Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich said. “Reporting online is secure, fast and easy,” Antonovich said. “Anyone who believes or has evidence that fraud, corruption, waste or misuse of county resources involving county employees, contractors and vendors have occurred should file a report. “Informants may identify themselves or remain anonymous.
