first_imgA home-help carer who arrived at an elderly Donegal woman’s house drunk is still working in her local community. The unidentified woman texted the 88 year old woman’s daughter saying “Me half cut cu bout 9 ok Mrs.”The woman arrived at the old woman’s house and told her daughter to ‘cheer up’ when the family of the woman said she was not fit enough to work. The woman’s daughter told the Shaun Doherty Show on Highland Radio that she was disgusted by what had happened. She also said she wanted the HSE to tell her exactly what a person needed to be done before she was let go from her position.“Does a person have to die from a fall of whatever for them to be relieved from their job?“I know that this person is working locally as a home help. I simply don’t think that is good enough,” she said. A HSE investigation into the incident found the woman guilty of “serious misconduct” and was disciplined. However the family of the 88 year old woman said they don’t know what this means and what form the discipline took.“We have asked them what this means and they will not tell us. There could have been catastrophic consequences,” said the woman. ‘DRUNK’ HOME-HELP ASSISTANT STILL WORKING IN DONEGAL COMMUNITY was last modified: December 16th, 2011 by StephenShare this:Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window)Click to share on Twitter (Opens in new window)Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window)Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window)Click to share on Pocket (Opens in new window)Click to share on Telegram (Opens in new window)Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window)Click to share on Skype (Opens in new window)Click to print (Opens in new window) Tags:drunkhome helptextlast_img
