LG will unveil its next V-series smartphone– LG V40 ThinQ– at a special event in New York on October 3 and in Seoul on October 4. Days ahead of its official launch, the phone has been spotted on Geekbench. The listing on the benchmarking site has revealed that the V35 ThinQ successor will sport 6GB RAM and run on Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor.The listing has also confirmed that LG upcoming flagship smartphone will run on the older version of Android operating system i.e. Android 8.1 Oreo out-of–box, which might disappoint many fans who were expecting the phone to run on the latest version of Google’s mobile OS i.e. Android 9.0 Pie.Meanwhile, LG, in a 30-second-long teaser shared in its Korean newsroom earlier this week, confirmed that the upcoming LG V40 ThinQ will sport five cameras- a triple camera setup with an LED flash at the back and a dual camera setup in the front. Besides this, the Korean electronics giant has confirmed that its upcoming smartphone will sport a 6.4-inch screen and while it be made of glass, it will sport a matte finish, which will give it a better grip while holding in hands.Apart from this, LG, in its Korean newsroom has also confirmed that the phone will be available in three colours– Platinum Gray, Carmine Red and Morokan Blue. Additionally, the fingerprint scanner will be placed directly below the horizontally placed triple camera sensor.Meanwhile, from what we know so far, the upcoming LG V40 ThinQ will come with a POLED display with a resolution of 3120×1440 pixels. It will sport thin bezels on the top and on the bottom and come with a special button for invoking Google Assistant. As far as the specifications are concerned, while the GeekBench listing has confirmed a 6GB RAM, the phone is likely to come with an internal memory of 128GB.
