The news comes after Winovich had to exit last weekend’s game against Indiana with an unspecified injury. Winovich appeared to suffer an upper-body injury and was being tended to by trainers for quite some time before being able to walk off into the locker room under his own power.Winovich has been one of the best players in the country this season. He would’ve been a major loss for Michigan today. The Wolverines’ players have been confident in Winovich’s status all week, though.“He’s fine. He’s fine,” Michigan quarterback Shea Patterson told reporters. “It would kill him to take him out. We’re not really sure on his progress yet. He’s a tough guy.”“I talked to him, he says he’s feeling better. I would assume he’ll play. But you never know the severity of it. You know him, I think he’ll play.”Michigan and Ohio State are set to kick off at noon E.T. The game will be on FOX.
