Miami and Florida get the season started with a non-conference battle on August 24.With the season fast-approaching, ESPN’s Paul Finebaum broke down the best quarterbacks in college football. The longtime SEC analyst thinks one quarterback stands out among the rest. When asked to decide between Alabama’s Tua Tagovailoa and Clemson’s Trevor Lawrence, Finebaum said the decision is not “difficult at all.” AD Quality Auto 360p 720p 1080p Here’s what he had to say via Saturday Down South:“If you’re trying to determine who the best one is, I don’t think it’s very difficult at all. Trevor Lawrence is one of the best quarterbacks in college I have ever seen. Tua is simply one of the best I have seen in a specific year. I think we got a little bit carried last year by declaring him, some people did, the LeBron James of college football. He’s very good, but he’s injury prone, he’s very accurate, and when he gets hurt, he seems to collapse a little bit. Against the best teams last year, he did not perform very well. Trevor Lawrence, once he got going, remember he was a freshman, he just took over the game and by the end, in the final game of the year, he dominated in a way I have never seen before.”It’s easy to pick Lawrence over Tagovailoa after what transpired last year.Lawrence led the Tigers to a national title during his freshman season – in a blowout over Alabama. We’ll have to wait to find out who rules college football this season.last_img
