HTCs 7inch Android tablet Flyer gets specs leaked

first_imgWith the success of the iPad, everyone’s getting into tablets, and HTC‘s upcoming Android-based Flyer is no exception… but how will it stack up against the competition? About on par, according to newly leaked specs.Measuring 7-inches across and boasting a display running at 1024 x 600, the HTC Flyer will be positioned as a competitor to half-sized tablets like the Samsung Galaxy Tab. Inside, a Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 should keep things speedy in the 1GHz+ range. It will support both 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, as well as HSPA 3G, giving it theoretical download speeds of up to 14.4Mbps. Since video calling is de rigeur, the new Flyer will have dual cameras: a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera for FaceTime style video chat, and a 5 megapixel camera on the rear of the unit for taking snaps, which will also support LED-flash and facial recognition.Sounds pretty standard, doesn’t it? Perhaps the most interesting thing about this leak is not the specs, but word that HTC is working on a 10-inch iPad competitor as well which will allegedly support LTE and launch at the later half of this year with Honeycomb pre-installed. Now that’s a tablet to look forward to.Read more at Amobillast_img
